Last 'Sweet ToothTuesday'

Tonight at 10:30pm, in the VVT Basement, we will be having our last Sweet Tooth Tuesday! :D

Nicole is making one of her favorite desserts from the Dominican Republic so it's going to be delicious! Please join so we can all say our goodbyes and enjoy our last Sweet Tooth night together!

Slumber Party!

Congratulations on providing service this semester ladies! A special thanks to those of you who were extremely dedicated and came to my room more than twice a week to help fill the warm fuzzy jar!

Our slumber party program was extremely fun especially with tongue biting, slapping of the face, and barking with your nose plugged (if you weren't able to attend... I'm sorry- it was a hoot n' a half!)

I love you ladies, and hope this isn't the last entry on the blog! Thanks for making the slumber party and warm fuzzy jar such a success! I love you all so much!

Census and Other Things!

Census:

You will be receiving a letter under each of your doors regarding the census survey that we will be participating in this Thursday, April 8th @ 9:30 pm in our lounge. This is mandated by federal law, so please be on time... and BE THERE! If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to contact or talk to me.

Other things:

Guess what ladies!?! We are going to have a SLUMBER PARTY (without the slumber) on Saturday April 17th. We will be starting at 9 pm and go till Midnight (when quiet hours starts). As long as we have the "warm fuzzy" bowl filled by then, this will also count as our Pizza Party, and I'll be supplying the pizza. Here is where you all come in to the planning; Everyone who wants to join in on the fun is asked to bring either their favorite chips, snacks, sugary treats, and/or drinks. If any of you happen to bring out your tv and a few dvds, be my guest, but since I am not able to start a movie for a group of people, due to my current job status, it will be up to you. Instead of a movie, we can play games, and I'd be happy to get any games that you would like to play from the office.

Week of March 8th

Alrighty!

So we have some things planned for this week!

First off, Sweet Tooth Tuesday is this Tuesday, the 9th, at 10:30 pm in the Valley View Basement! Emily Decker is making the sweet dessert, but don't ask me what she's making, cause it's a complete surprise to me.

Secondly, we are joining the 3rd and 4th floor girls to have an early St. Pattie's Day party! Wee Litto Lassies! It's going to be a jolley fun time and I can't wait to wear green!
It's going to be on Thursday, the 11th, @ 7:30 pm in the Valley View Basement!

Next week is SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!! :D

Pot 'o' Gold!

It seems that the small bulletin board is a HUGE hit! :D And boy am I happy to see that view every time I'm getting on and off the elevator! ;D

First Week in March

Two things:

1- This Wednesday is the day that we changed the Q&A with the MVT 2nd floor men. It's going to be at 8:30 pm in our lobby! Please join us and invite any guys you know from the 2nd floor (or not). See you there! (There will be refreshments!)

2- This Thursday we are having the Clothes Swap in our lobby at 8 pm (this is the activity that was in the baby socks that were by your door). The girl who has planned this activity is in the RA class and trying to be an RA next year. I would GREATLY appreciate it if you all showed up, even just to drop off clothing items that will be donated to a homeless shelter in Ogden. PLEASE join us and I promise, you'll have a good time! There will be refreshments!

Dishes and Countertops

Ladies,

THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Please Read!

Every Friday starting Feb. 19 we are starting something new on our floor. If you haven't noticed, every Friday the custodians put any extra dishes left on the counter or left in the sink under the sink. Starting next Friday, the 19th, if you have ANYTHING left on the counter tops or in the sink, it WILL be thrown away!

This isn't to say that you guys are horrible people, it's more of a warning so that you know where your dishes and food have gone. All we ask of you is that you remove your items once you are done using them.

I've noticed a whole pile of food in the corner of the counter space near the microwaves... that will be gone and in the garbage next Friday if it is not stored somewhere else.

Thank you all for understanding and helping to keep our floor a clean, healthy, and welcoming place to live and visit.

Alright ladies,

So, hopefully you've all seen the bulletin board with billions... okay, maybe not billions, but A LOT... of ideas on how to serve. Keep in mind that we need to fill up the glass container in my room by the end of the semester in order to get a pizza party! I know we can do this, so lets get this party started! :D

Please leave your schedules open for the 28th (this Thursday) at 8:30 pm. Please wear something that you'll be comfortable in, and meet in my room with a pen/pencil, hardback book, and an open mind! If you would like, you can bring a chair from your room so that you don't have to sit on the floor.

It will be worth your time. I look forward to seeing as many of you there that will fit in my room!

Bathroom Dilema

Alright Ladies,

This is very important to know, so please read all of this.

After having numerous complaints about the bathrooms being closed for cleaning at 7:30-9:00 am once a week, I talked with Christy, the head custodian for Valley View Tower on Wednesday. She explained to me that it is for our own safety; the chemical they use to clean the bathrooms is harmful enough to the skin that if you touch it, you can have horrible chemical burns. Christy told me that there was not much she could do to switch the time since the custodian who normally cleans the restrooms has a class conflict. However, she pulled a few strings and changed the schedule so that our bathrooms, once a week, will be cleaned at 10 am. This is a huge change for them and they REALLY didn't need to do that for our sake. Please make a special effort to thank the custodians; not only for this certain thing, but for all the amazing work they do to clean our bathrooms and keep our floor looking as nice as it does! Again, thank them a ton! We owe them a lot!

Sweet Tooth Tuesday and Other Important Info!

Okay! We are back and that means that Sweet Tooth Tuesday is happening! Woot woot! As you hopefully noticed, I put a flyer on each of your doors indicating what the dates were for the special nights! The first one happens to be this upcoming Tuesday on the 19th @ 10:30 pm! Lori and Laura B. are making the dessert this time, but if you would like to make it on any of the other dates, please let me know!

Also, please keep the 28th of this month at 8:30 pm open... I am feeling a great activity coming on! : )
